Donald E. Harshberger of Grand Rapids, Minnesota for the past five years and Tucson, Arizona passed away Sunday September 8, 2013 at the age of 88. Donald was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He joined the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1941 and served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1973 as a Chief Master Sergeant and moved to Tucson. In 2008 he moved to Whispering Pines in Grand Rapids. Donald loved to fish, hunt and play golf. Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma, parents, and a brother and a sister. He is survived by two daughters, Mona McCaskie of Grand Rapids, and Donna Betts of Washington; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. No services are planned.
