Dennis Carl Callahan, 55, of Grand Rapids, Mn died Monday December 22, 20l4 in his home. He was born in Rochester, Mn and graduated from Kennedy High School in Bloomington, Mn. He then attended Augsburg College before enlisting in the US Air Force. He had his training at Lakeland Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas and then went to Latina Italy. The rest of his tour was spent in Berlin Germany before the Berlin Wall fell. After the Air Force he moved to Grand Rapids, Mn and was self-employed and worked in the surrounding area. He loved reading, fishing, sports and going to sporting events. Dennis is now at peace with the Lord. He is preceded in death by his father Donald and a brother Robert H. Callahan who passed away while in the service. Dennis is survived by his mother Joycelyn of Grand Rapids, Mn; sister Vicki (Robert) Neururer of Grand Rapids, Mn; niece Crystal and Aaron Ammerman and Dutch, Carter and Sullivan and several cousins.
