Dale Edward Strom, age 77, of Goodland, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 in Duluth, Minnesota. Dale was born in 1935 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. After serving 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, Dale and his family moved to Goodland where he worked for 23 years as a mechanic for Langer Equipment. He retired in 1996 and then enjoyed "wintering" near his brother in Old Town, Florida. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather to many, and was loved by all who knew him. He was a member of Goodland Presbyterian Church, the Air Force Sergeant's Association, the American Legion, and the Grand Rapids Moose Club. Dale was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved camping and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lydia Strom; daughter, Pamela Jean Strom; and brothers, Wally and Roger. Dale is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce; daughter, Nancy Strom Prebeck of Cohasset, Minnesota; son, Greg (Terry) Strom of Duluth; one brother, Gerald (Shirley) Strom of Old Town, Florida; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
