Curtis R. Hall, age 93, of Bigfork, MN passed away peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2023, at Bigfork Valley Nursing Home, surrounded by family. He is now reunited with his Lord, Jesus, free from pain and is at peace.

Curt was born in 1929 in Mankato, MN to Harold and Inga Hall. He attended rural elementary school in St. Clair MN. Growing up, he farmed with his dad and brother before joining the Navy in January 1951. Curt spent 4 years serving as a Machinist's Mate on the heavy cruiser, USS Newport News. After he was discharged, he attended Mankato Vocational College and graduated as a machinist. Curt married Carolyn Glamm at St. John's Lutheran Church in St. Clair on April 3, 1955, together they moved to Brooklyn Center where he worked as an apprentice for Northern Ordinance for 4 years. Upon completing his apprenticeship, he worked for Nedmac in New Hope for 30 years, retiring in 1992. He and Carolyn moved to the Lake Cabin in 1996, where he enjoyed wood working, hunting, and logging. Curt even wrote his autobiography while in Pharr, Texas, where they wintered for 24 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Stanley. Curt is survived by his wife of 68 years, Carolyn; daughter, Cynthia (John) Costello; son, Craig (Cheryl) Hall; grandchildren, Jessica Greske, John Curtis Costello, Caila Leonard, and Calina Keating; 5 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Virgene Volkman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Grand Rapids, MN beginning at 10:00 AM lasting until the 11:00 AM funeral service. Rev. Cody Hauch will officiate. Military Honors will be performed following the funeral service.
