Clinton Reed Truen, 77, of Deer River, MN, on the evening of Tuesday, May 2, 2017, Reed was called home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Essentia Health-Homestead in Deer River, MN. He was born October 2, 1939 in St. Paul, MN to George and Dorothy Truen. He was raised on the Iron Range and then worked for 3M Chemolite in Cottage Grove, MN for 36 years. He retired back to his place on Pokegama Lake. He was a member of the Good News Bible Church in Cohasset, MN. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Truen in 2005; parents; sister, Janice Horton; brother-in-law, Jerry Horton; and step-father, Pastor Burell Bentz. Reed is survived by his son, Timothy (Roxanne) Truen of Minneapolis, MN; sisters, Georgia DuBois of River Falls, WI, Bobbi (Larry) Hansch of Inver Grove Heights, MN; four grandchildren, Sam and Sophie Truen and David and Nicholas Truen. A special thank you to all the nurses and staff at Essentia Health-Homestead. The family would also like to thank Kevin and Becky Stockey for keeping Reed strong in his faith when he needed it most and to his family at The Good News Bible in Cohasset and Pastor Lance Edminster.
