Clarice Bostyancic, age 83, of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, formerly of Duluth died on April 1, 2011. Clarice was born in Hibbing, Minnesota and graduated from Hibbing High School. She worked in telecommunications for Northwestern Bell and Qwest in Hibbing and Duluth. Gardening and ceramics were her passion. In her younger years she was an avid golfer and bowler. Clarice was a very active member and secretary of Augustana Lutheran Church in Hermantown. She also maintained active relationships with family in Sweden to stay connected with her Swedish heritage. While in Hibbing Clarice was active with the Women of the Moose. Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; son, Steven; and her parents Alma and Clarence Hallquist. Survivors include three children, Stanley J. (Crystal) Bostyancic of Cohasset, Minn., Thomas Bostyancic of Minneapolis, and Jean Bostyancic of Duluth; six grandchildren; one sister, Jean Platisha of Hibbing; and one brother, Robert (Corrine) Hallquist of Dassel, Minn. Visitation is 10:30 until the 11:30 Service on Thursday April 14 in Augustana Lutheran Church, 3251 Midway Road, Duluth. Memorials may be made for Alzheimer's Research.
