Christine Souder, 74, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Friday, May 17, 2019 in her home with family by her side. She was born May 7, 1945 in Blackduck, MN. Christine and Cecil were married on January 13, 1962. For the first years of their married life, they lived in International Falls, MN. Since 1978 they made their home in Grand Rapids, MN. Christine was baptized as a Jehovah"s Witness on Dec. 31, 1960. She was an active part of her congregation. She was well known for her insightful comments on Scripture, family life and friendships. She had an exceptionally strong hope for a resurrection to a paradise earth.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Annie Miller; brothers, Marvin and Rodney; and an infant sister.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil; siblings, Bergie (Louie) Welsh of Blackduck, MN and Verlan (Sandy) Miller of Blackduck, MN. Children, Scott (Jane) Souder of Grand Rapids, MN, Heidi (Joe) Enberg of Aitkin, MN, Jason (Mindy) Souder of Zimmerman, MN; grandchildren, Mackenzie (Jason) Jore, Casey Souder, Jacob (Faith) Enberg, Zachary (Brandi) Enberg and Isaac Souder; great-granddaughters, Kennedy and Finley Jore.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah"s Witnesses, 35289 Foxtail Lane, Cohasset, MN.
