Charles W. Dolney, Sr., 53, of Bovey, died unexpectedly after a short illness on Monday, Feb. 8, 2010. Charles was born in St. Paul to Walter and Mary Ann Dolney. He graduated from Murray High School in 1974. He married his high school sweetheart, Andrea, on April 13, 1976. Chuck received a certificate in auto mechanics and earned a degree in Building Operation and Equipment Maintenance. He worked for Metropolitan Transit Commission as a diesel mechanic and for Hamline University as a locksmith, before moving to Bovey in 1995. He was self-employed for the past 22 years. Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter. Surviving family includes his loving wife, Andrea; mother, Mary Ann, of St. Paul; sons, Charles, Jr. (Stacey) of Bovey and Jake (Bridget) of Grand Rapids; grandsons, Alex and Jacob; granddaughter, Andrea Lynn; brothers, Raymond (Cheryl) of St. Paul, and Kenneth (Sue) of Stillwater; and his sister, Roberta Madison, of St. Paul.
