Catherine Margaret (Berg) Markgraf, 87, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Sunday, October 28, 2019 in her home surrounded by family. She was born September 27, 1932 in Swatara, MN to Fredrick and Elsie (Harrington) Berg. She graduated high school and married Richard Spaulding. She was the founding owner of God"s Country Outfitters. Catherine married Darwin Markgraf in 1969. She loved her children and lived for God. She said her purpose was to serve others. Catherine was a member of Grace Bible Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Spaulding; parents; siblings, Fred, Ed and Alfred Berg; and children Richard Jeffrey, Teri, and Lori.
Catherine is survived by her children, Linda (Colin) Loucks of Bovey, MN, Anita Erickson of Deer River, MN, Bekky Spaulding of Diamondhead, MS, Scott (Elsa) Spaulding of Deer River, MN, Joni Spaulding of St. Paul, MN, Kent (Dolly) Spaulding of Hoyt Lakes, MN, Eric (Jennifer) Markgraf of Maple Grove, MN; siblings, Cora DeJong of White Bear Lake, MN, Gene (Sharon) Berg of French Camp, MS, Cal (Nancy) Berg of Grangeville, ID, Ken (Rose) Berg of St. Paul, MN; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2019 with a gathering of friends one hour prior to the service all at Grace Bible Chapel, 2452 Co Rd 76, Grand Rapids, MN 55744.
