Beverly M. Gravelle, of Little Canada, MN and former longtime resident of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2013 surrounded by those who loved her. Beverly was educated at Arbo School and graduated from Grand Rapids High School. She was an employee of JC Penney for more than forty years. After her second retirement from JC Penney, she moved to the Twin Cities to live with her daughter and continued to work until the fall of 2012 when her health prevented her from continuing. Beverly loved to read, do crossword puzzles, play computer games, watch game shows and loved to go to the casino. When she was younger, she and Ray could be found on Saturday nights wherever there was dancing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Gravelle Sr., parents, Henry and Bessie Lane, daughter, Susan Hill, several brothers and one sister. Beverly is survived by her children, Sandra (Ginny Bolkcom) Gravelle, Raymond (Karen) Gravelle Jr., Betsy (Rookey) Hayes, Diana Burnett, and Timothy Gravelle; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally; two brothers, Rex and Jack Lane; and several sisters-in-law.
