Bernice Theresa (Rockney) Reinhold, 95, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 at Evergreen Terrace, Grand Rapids, MN. She was born February 28, 1921 in Isle, MN to Edward and Tenora (Eye) Rockney. She graduated from Isle High School, and graduated from St. Cloud State Teachers College where she earned her teaching certificate. Bernice married John Reinhold on August 19, 1945 in Portland, OR. Bernice and John lived and raised their children James and Debra, on John's family farm in Hallock, MN. Then in 1966, they moved to Grand Rapids, MN, settled in the community and became active members of Zion Lutheran Church. She was involved with Zion Hospital Auxiliary, WELCO, and as a confirmation teacher. Bernice also volunteered for the Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Reinhold; parents; and brothers, Merton and Tom Rockney. Bernice is survived by her son, James (Charlene) Reinhold of Olympia, WA; daughter, Debra (Bob) Jordan of Prineville, OR; sister, Mary Lou Crose of Tacoma, WA; five grandchildren, Sandra Heegard, Chris and Dylan Reinhold, John and Bobby Jordan; five great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends. Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church, 2901 US-169, Grand Rapids, MN. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Innichment at Zion Lutheran Church.
